Who was elected

The District of Squamish posted the unofficial results of the 2026 general election on October 17, 2026. Voters chose one mayor, six councillors and two school trustees.

The results were unofficial until the Chief Election Officer made a final decision later in the week.

How turnout compares with 2022

The District counted turnout after adding everyone who registered to vote during the election.

  • 2026: 8,881 ballots cast from 19,591 registered eligible electors, a turnout of 45.33 percent
  • 2022: 6,718 ballots cast from 16,337 registered eligible electors, a turnout of 41.1 percent
