Will there ever be a public bus from Squamish to Vancouver or Whistler?
Squamish has local BC Transit buses but no public bus to Vancouver or Whistler. A service has been studied since 2015 and 2017 but has stalled over who governs and pays for it. In September 2026 local governments, the Lil'wat and Squamish Nations and the Province signed a memorandum to keep working on governance, funding and a service model.
